It’s the first time that I shot at Shepstone Gardens in Johannesburg and understand now why it is such a sought after venue. It really is spectacular and is also a photographer’s dream. Amy and Marcello’s wedding was stunning and they both looked like fashion models, or rock stars, or both. I love this job, you get to meet great people, create stunning images and in general have a good time.
I was assisted once again by Ben. Thanks Ben for delaying going on holiday for a day or two to be able to assist.
The chappel’s glass roof lets in more than ample light which prompted me to get some dramatic sun shots. Who says that one cannot shoot into the sun?

My wife and I are not musical and cannot play any mysical instruments, although I do rate my shower singing as some of the best I’ve ever heard. Luckily it seems as if our children are not going to be musically challenged. Meyer (8) takes to music like a duck to water (same with cricket, drama, rugby, swimming and academics). Amy (3) is sure to follow in her older brother’s footsteps.
Hmm, I suspect that some of the readers my suspect me to be proud. Wel, I am.

I shot as 2nd shooter for Ben Viljoen at Rusty Hook this weekend. It’s great to photograph people who give you carte blanche, which is what Arno and Elaine did. Elaine especially is great fun and I think that if we asked her to climb up a tree in her wedding dress she would have done so.
