My brother-in-law, Kim, takes his fishing very seriously. I took this photo of him a few years ago. We had it printed recently on a huge canvas as a present for his birthday, it now hangs on the wall in his livingroom.

A few more images from Frikkie and Joe’s wedding.

Frikkie and Jo’s wedding was held at De Kasteel on the East Rand. The house was built in 1888 and has been restored over the last few years and now functions as a wedding and conference venue.
Frikkie and Jo are such a cool couple. This has definitely been a very enjoyable wedding. Things almost were lost because it started puring with rain 10 minutes before the OUTDOOR wedding was due to start. It was a madhouse, the reception area had to be converted to cater for the wedding. They did not believe me when I said that the rainy weather makes for more interesting photos.

There is something to be said about the “older” Joburg establishments. Adrian and Belinda had their wedding at Emoyeni conference centre in Parktown. If your taste is style and grace, and you have a soft spot for architecture, then this venue will not disappoint. It was a perfect fit for the couple.
We didn’t manage to shoot the formal wedding photographs outside because true to Joburg summer season the afternoon was marked with downpour and serious lightning storms. Emoyeni did not disappoint because the stylish rooms (such as the very tasteful cigar lounge) provided more than enough shooting opportunities.

This is one of my very favourite images. It’s a photo of my uncle taken at a family gathering not too long ago.
